Blackwood Rec offer full gym and weight training facilities at The Rec Fitness Studio - Blackwood Gym
Our studio has state of the art gym equipment including: weight machines, Smith machines, free weights, treadmills, cross-trainers, and cardio machines.
Blackwood Rec Trainers work with you to design a program that works for your individual needs and requirements. Your gym program can consist of pure gym weight training or a combination of cardio, toning and weight training.
Our flexible opening hours make it easy for you to structure your fitness plan into your daily routines without imposing on other work or personal commitments
The studio's 2 main gym rooms are open to a wall of windows so you focus on your regime without the feeling of being enclosed in a typical mirrored gym environment.
A regular gym program will:

Improve your flexibility, vitality and general wellbeing.

Develop and maintain muscle mass, endurance, and strength.

Achieve weight reduction and toning.
We recommend that you undertake fitness training two or three times per week. Other gym programs and fitness programs at Blackwood Rec include:
- Fitness Classes
- Boxercise: Tuesday 6.30 - 6.45pm
- Combo Class: Saturday 10.00 - 11.00am
- Zumba: Saturday 10.00 - 11.00am

Blackwood Rec is a fitness facility that is owned and operated by the community.
